If your oven is failing to heat up, or is tripping the electricity when switched on, the likely cause is a faulty heating element. If your fan is spinning and the light is coming on, but it is blowing cold air, chances are the fan oven element needs replacing. Similarly, if your oven trips your consumer unit when on the fan oven setting, replacing the fan oven element will usually solve the issue.

• How do I know what wattage element I need?

The wattage of this heating element is . The wattage of your existing element will be stamped on the element, usually on the fixing plate or the element itself near the fixing plate. • Can I replace this element myself?
