• How do I know if my heating element needs replacing?

If your oven is failing to heat up, or is tripping the electricity when switched on, the likely cause is a faulty heating element. If your fan is spinning and the light is coming on, but it is blowing cold air, chances are the fan oven element needs replacing. Similarly, if your oven trips your consumer unit when on the fan oven setting, replacing the fan oven element will usually solve the issue.

• How do I know what wattage element I need?

The wattage of this heating element is 2000w. The wattage of your existing element will be stamped on the element, usually on the fixing plate or the element itself near the fixing plate. Please note the wattage of the element will be less than the overall wattage of the oven, listed on the data/rating plate.

• Can I replace this element myself?

Yes. In most cases the only tool you will need is a screwdriver. You also need to be able to isolate the oven from the power, either directly from the cooker switch/socket, or from your consumer unit. However, if you are not confident in doing this, please consult a professional.
